Barry George is on a mission to take the Cook Islands to their first ever Rugby World Cup.

The Cook Islands coach looked for players during the ITM Cup competition in New Zealand last year for their World Cup qualifier match against the Vodafone Flying Fijians this Saturday.

George said he has faith in his players.

The side has some prominent players from the Top 14 Competition in France.

The Cook Islands is ranked 45th in the world while Fiji sits in 10th place.

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will play Cook Islands at 3pm Saturday at Churchill Park.

The winner of this match will join England, Wales, Australia and another unconfirmed team in Pool A of the World Cup next year.
