A massive manhunt is underway for two escapees who escaped from the Nasinu Prison on Saturday afternoon.

Deputy Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Keshri Lal has confirmed that both escapees were serving a life sentence for murder and are very dangerous.

Tang Lu Guang was convicted for murder in 2005 while Indra Mali was convicted for murder in 2002. Mali is originally from Sigatoka.

According to police both of them are armed and can strike anywhere at any time.

Police Media Liaising officer, Atunaisa Sokomuri has also confirmed that police are putting up road blocks in Central, Eastern and Western parts of the country to apprehend the two.

Members of the public have also been warned not to give shelter to the prisoners as anyone found doing so will be charged and taken to court.

This is the second time Tang Guang escaped from the prison. Last time he was recaptured in Nadi.
