A 36 year old Building Contractor of Lautoka has been taken into custody for allegedly obtaining close to $300,000 from five people.
The man has been charged with five counts of obtaining money by false pretense and will be appearing in court tomorrow morning.
Regional Crime Officer Western, ASP Luke Rawalai confirmed that the man was taken into custody yesterday afternoon after they received complaints from five people.
The alleged incident took place between 2008 and last year.
