Having visitors from abroad come to Fiji and experiencing water cuts paints a bad image of the country.
Lautoka mother of two Geeta Sami who resides in Lomolomo Lautoka said that her relatives paid them a surprise visit and they were in a dilemma as water supply has been out in their area for the past few days.
Sami added that repeated calls to the Water Authority have been unsuccessful, despite consumers being on time with the payment of bills.
Meanwhile, a Wailoku resident Matthew Chand who also experienced water cuts over the weekend said that the Authorities need to realize that water is a necessity and that with an increase of reports of fires, people have a risk of losing all they own.
Repeated attempts to get hold of the Water Authority of Fiji have proved futile.
