Federated Airlines Staff Association and ATS Employees Trust have contingency plans are in place to assist its members that are waiting at the gate to return to work.

This was confirmed by ATS Employees Trust Secretary, Vili Finau who says they will provide assistance to these workers during Christmas because they are very passionate about their cause.

When asked by Fijivillage on what kind of assistance they will be providing to the ATS workers, Finau says he will be providing details about the assistance later today.

Finau says they remain positive that this matter will be resolved.

When asked on the number of workers that have signed the letters and returned to work, Finau says reports that half the workers have signed the letters are unconfirmed rumors.

Finau says there are no confirmed numbers on the workers that have returned to work.

The Chairman of ATS Riyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum had also confirmed that there was no exact number of workers that have actually signed the letter.

He says they want everyone back so that operations normalizes at ATS.

Sayed‑Khaiyum says he had spoken to the striking workers that they can come back if they sign the letters saying that they had made a mistake when they left their workstations during working hours to attend a shareholders meeting on Saturday and they also give the management the right to take disciplinary action if they may wish to do so and it will not result in the termination of their employment.
