The failure of players to retain possession when they go into contact was one of the causes of the Digicel Fiji 7's loss to South Africa 24-14 in the England 7's.

Assistant coach, Manasa Bari said that while they were satisfied with the performance of the team they have to work on some of their weaknesses before the Scotland 7's.

Bari adds that in discussion with coach Josateki Savou they saw that in the final, Fiji lost key possession from contact and a few during kick-off.

Fiji beat Samoa 26-14 in the quarter final and thumped New Zealand 49-19 in the semifinal before going down 24-14 to South Africa in the final.

The side will leave for the Scotland 7's tomorrow.
