The increase in the price of diesel and kerosene has been met with criticism from consumers.

The Prices and Income Board has announced that the price of Kerosene is up by 2 cents, from $1.28 to $1.30 cents per litre and the price of diesel has increased from $1.53 to $1.56 cents a litre.
However, the price of motor spirit has decreased by 1 cent and will cost $1.90 cents per litre, while the price of pre-mix outboard fuel now costs one cent less and sell at $1.88 cents per litre.
The PIB said the change in prices are due to the movement in world product market prices for the month of August with the global energy industry kept tight last month.
