The Consumer Council of Fiji has been invited to the 18th Consumers International World Congress co-hosted by the Australian Consumer Association and CHOICE, the largest consumer organisation in Australia.
The Council will be represented by the Council CEO Premila Kumar and another staff member. The Congress will be held from the 29th of October to the 1st of November.
According to Kumar, this Congress is very important as one would get to see how consumers are exploited by big corporations and the Congress will be used to see how consumers can counter this problem.
The congress also gives participants the opportunity to hear from internationally renowned experts, engage in insightful debates and attend action-oriented workshops showcasing the work of consumer organisations around the world.
