Consultation Timeline To Be Extended
Nation Council for Building a Better Fiji(NCBBF) Media Head Filimoni Kau said while the turnout in some of the forums and village consultations have not been as high as they had wanted, they are relooking their strategies to ensure the time and place allocated for these consultations are favorable to everyone.
Kau added there is a high possibility the timeline given for consultations will be extended.
Meanwhile, SDL National Director Peceli Kinivuwai said their stance has not and will never change on the document as their lawyers prepare to file a court injunction to stop the Draft Charter process later this week.
NCBBF Media Head Filimoni Kau has confirmed the Forums for this week, adding that the interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama will be the chief guest at the draft Charter Forum in Lautoka, interim Health Minister Dr Jiko Luveni will be the chief guest for the Forum in Gau while NCBBF Co-Chair Archbishop Petero Mataca is expected to be the chief guest at the Lami Parish Hall.
The Commissioner Northern's Officer earlier confirmed that other outreach programs confirmed for this week would include visits to Rabi, Seaqaqa, Bua, Labasa and Savusavu.
