There needs to be meaningful dialogue and better understanding of the media and people should not just make baseless allegations against the media.
These were the sentiments expressed by Communications Fiji Limited News Director Vijay Narayan while speaking on a talk back on our sister station Radio Sargam today.
Narayan stressed that people and authorities need to contribute constructively rather than making personal threats and threats of controlling or regulating the media on how to report issues.
NCBBF Media Committee Officer Kamlesh Arya recommended that the media industry should take a look and read the report by Dr. James Anthony. However he confirmed he has some reservations of the racist comments in the report.
