The family of Epeli Gadi, the 37 year old who died after a mishap at a Construction site in Lautoka yesterday, are still coming to terms with the fatal accident.

Police Spokesperson Western Division Wame Bautolu confirmed to Fijivillage that a 10 metre concrete pole that weighed about 35 tonne fell on Gadi, killing him.  

Bautolu said the pole was being transported to another set but may not have been stacked properly.

Gadi's older brother, Joeli Qio said it was completely unexpected and when they received the call from the hospital they were all in shock and still are, as it was only yesterday that Gadi was with them.

Qio said Gadi had just gotten married two years ago and was enjoying life.

Police investigations into the matter continue.
