The Conspiracy to Murder trial will resume tomorrow where other Prosecution witnesses will take the stand.

Present today in court were the eight accused including the Qaranivalu, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Feoko Gadekibau, Barbados Mills, Sivaniolo Naulago, Metuisela Mua, Eparama Waqatairewa, Kaminieli Vosavere and Pauliasi Ramulo.

Defence Counsel, Iqbal Khan made an application saying that he wanted prosecution witness, Major Isireli Narawa to be cross examined first as he had information that was crucial to the case.

While making his ruling on the application, Judge Justice Madigan said Narawa is sick for the next 4 days however the trial will proceed.

Justice Madigan said the hearing should proceed as the eight accused have been waiting for some time and the cross-examination of Narawa can be done upon his return.

Khan accepted the ruling and asked for an adjournment as he needed time to instruct his eight clients.

The eight are charged with allegedly conspiring to murder Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Former Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry.

The case will be recalled at 9am tomorrow.
