Consolidated efforts by Government officials in rural areas will result in the prompt delivery of services to members of the public.

Commissioner Eastern Colonel Ifereimi Vasu said this is an approach now taken on by various government officials located in rural areas, where the main hurdle faced by civil servants, is the lack of resources to carry out their work efficiently.

Vasu said on the Prime Minister's visit to Kadavu, complaints were raised by villagers that civil servants were slow in responding to their needs, however he said after taking into consideration the challenges faced by them, they understand that the delivery of services will obviously be affected.

Vasu added this is why they have taken this integrated approach within Ministries.
