The All Blacks are trying hard to find a suitable replacement for Conrad Smith ahead of their Rugby Championship match against Australia this weekend.
Smith is injured and will be unavailable for the upcoming games.
Coach Steve Hansen and the All Blacks selectors are not convinced that Ma’a Nonu is a suitable number 13 while Sonny Bill Williams is not an option.
The other alternative is to bring in Tamati Ellison or Ben Smith.
The All Blacks will play Australia at 10:05pm Saturday.
