After relatively decent performances in the 34th Federation of International Hockey Champions Trophy and the Asian Champions Trophy, the Indian men’s hockey team are confident when they take on 71st ranked Fiji in the opening match of the World League Round 2 tournament today.

India would also be fit as a fiddle with all its players having a good run in the inaugural Hero Hockey India League.

Captain Sardar Singh, regarded as one of the world’s best centre-halfs, would be looking to control the midfield.

The Fiji women’s team will take on Japan at 5:00pm today and our men’s side will meet India at 2:30am tomorrow.
