The Land Transport Authority's chief executive officer said that much improvement is needed as far as the conditions of the public services vehicles are concerned.
Abraham Simpson's comments come after a bus caught fire at Edinburgh Drive in Suva on Friday. The fire had started from the engine of the bus.
Simpson said they are working together with the bus operators to avoid any future mishaps.
