Some residents of Rarawai in Ba have raised serious concern over the stench from the Ba River.
A retired school teacher Dhirendra Singh said the smell is unbearable and they suspect some waste has been dumped into the Ba River.
Singh is calling on the relevant authorities to investigate the matter.
The Ba Town Council is expected to comment on the matter later today.
