The Suva City Council today launched its Performance Management System with concerns being raised by the SCC Staff Association that the matter is still before the Arbitration Tribunal.
On consequences of the Council going ahead with the implementation of PMS, Town Clerk Ratu Ilitomasi Verenakadavu said they will cross that bridge when they come to it.
However, Staff Association General Secretary, Krishna said the Council has no respect for the rule of law as the matter is still with the Tribunal.
Meanwhile, Verenakadavu claims the Staff Association has already agreed in good faith to PMS and its implementation.
However, this is disputed by Krishna.
PMS within the SCC is to be implemented on the 2nd of January.
