The media has jumped on the band wagon of the politicians in questioning the independence of the judiciary.
Those were the sentiments of interim Attorney General Aiyaz
Sayed-Khaiyum on the interim government's reaction to the High Court ruling by Judge Justice Filimoni Jitoko which went in favour of the SDL party to stop the work on the People's Charter.
Sayed-Khaiyum said the interim government had never raised concerns on a ruling irrespective of whether a ruling went in their favour or not. He added they have never interfered with the judiciary.
He said the media had not helped the situation.
Meanwhile, he had called on people to provide evidence that the interim government is interfering with the judiciary.
