You can minimize waste through composting which is environmentally friendly and cheaper.

USP's Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development and the Suva City Council have found through a pilot project, that composting is the best alternative of solid waste management especially on a large scale.

Program Assistant Daiana Taoba said in order to produce compost, all that's needed is market wastes like discarded vegetables and fruits, green wastes like grass clippings and brown wastes like brown leaves/twigs and dried grass clippings.
