Consumers have the right to decide what they want to purchase when they enter a shop.
Those were the Consumer Council of Fiji Chief Executive officer Premila Kumar who said that the council has received number of complaints against shopkeepers who sell goods only when they are purchased with other goods.
Kumar said these are mostly practiced in residential areas where shops are away from Central Business District.
She also said they will be keeping an eye on the market and those retailers or shop keepers found to be involved in unfair trade practices will be reported to the enforcement agencies.
