Competition in the mobile phone market is resulting in benefits for the people using the networks.

Today Vodafone Fiji has come up with an idea to keep connected to its customers by rewarding them under a loyalty scheme.

While launching the scheme, Vodafone's Corporate Affairs Manager Shalendra Prasad revealed that the company will reward all its prepay customers with free talk time.

He said every three months all prepay customers will be evaluated and assigned a star, looking at the length of time the person has been with Vodafone and the average monthly amount the customer spends on recharge over the past three months.

Prasad said even after so much competition in the market, Vodafone retained its customers which is the reason for the loyalty reward.

He said they have found that 98 percent of Vodafone's customers are prepay customers and the company will be spending $30million annually in providing the free talk time.
