Showing more compassion and understanding goes a long way in ridding the stigma placed on prisoners.
Those were the sentiments of Commissioner of Prisons Brigidier General Iowane Naivalurua, in response to questions raised on the success of the Yellow Ribbon Program.
Naivalurua said the program has been very successful in seeing to the rehabilitation of prisoners, and said the only obstacle left is the stigma placed on a prisoner.
The Prisons Department had launched their website on Wednesday.
