The Community Policing Officers are visiting pre-schools following the national celebration of Early Childhood Week last week.
Last week, the team was at Davuilevu Methodist Primary School, Bhawani Dayal Primary and then to other neighboring pre schools.
The school visits is part of Commissioner of Police Commodore Esala Teleni's program which involves preschool students during the preschool week celebration.
Other objectives of these visits are to reach out to parents on the awareness of the safety and security of their children, and providing necessities by showing more care to avoid their children becoming victim of crimes.
Also part of the visits were the officers from the Fiji Women Crises Center who talked on Child Abuse and Exploitation, and police officers who raised awareness on petty crimes, sexual offences, drugs and consequences.
