Communications Fiji is now alongside ABC Radio, Radio NZ, RFO Radio, KCCN-FM and KUAM featuring in the new Borderless Radio Rankings at www.radioheritage.net as being the top radio websites from their countries when ranked against hundreds of others from across the Pacific.
Communications Fiji has its website fijivillage.com leading the charge online with live streaming from its five radio stations, FM96, Legend FM, Viti FM, Radio Sargam and Navtarang.
According to the Radio Heritage Foundation, this is a fresh way of looking at local radio stations and brands from the Pacific in a "borderless" global digital marketplace.
The Foundation said they rank radio stations and brands within a country or regional market via the global reach of their websites.
The Foundation also said AM, FM and even the latest digital radio technologies are trapped within geography, whereas online streaming into multi-system digital receivers underpins the real radio revolution that's taking place.
