We need energy, imagination, political will, professional ethics and personal integrity to build a nation, brick by brick, word by word, person by person and generation by generation.
Those were the words of University of Fiji lecturer Professor Satendra Nandan while addressing a forum last night on the role of religion in the formation of citizens in a multicultural society.
Professor Nandan said identity is a vital topic for Fiji at the moment and how the citizens could be assisted through a common national name.
He added that there could be no future for the country if we constantly talk about the differences.
Professor Nandan said the time has come to demolish walls of exclusion and practices that diminish people's humanity for a fistful of dollars.
