The Party of National Unity (PANU) thinks that "Fijian" should not be used as a Common Name as proposed in the draft People’s Charter.
PANU general secretary Meli Bogileka said instead of the name "Fijian", the party believes that the proper word would be KAIVITI.
He added that the name Fijian would be thorny to the indigenous people.
