Commodore Frank Bainimarama is today calling on the Fijian Teachers Association, Public Employees Union and the Viti National Union of Taukei Workers to think twice before going on strike tomorrow.
Commodore Bainimarama said the unions' proposals were discussed at length in cabinet yesterday but the unions should understand that the interim government cannot meet their demands.
However Viti Taukei Workers Union General Secretary, Taniela Tabu maintains that cabinet could have averted the strike tomorrow by giving into their demands.
