Police Commissioner, Ben Groenewald said he will look into a complaint by a father in Labasa who raised concern that his son was allegedly beaten up by some police officers.
During the talanoa session at the Labasa College hall, Naren Naidu raised concern about his son allegedly getting assaulted in Namara after he was allegedly found with some marijuana.
Naidu also said that the police officers went to their home without a search warrant.
He said police should not have beaten up his son as they could have just taken him into custody.
Groenewald said he will investigate the matter.
Meanwhile Chairman of Crime stoppers in Labasa, Mahendra Prasad also said speeding of vehicles is another concern in Labasa.
The Commissioner said he will tell the Divisional Police Commander to look into this issue.
