The Commissioner Northern is currently touring the Macuata area with a skeleton team from the Police, National Fire Authority Medical team and other Govt officials to survey flood affected areas, due to adverse weather conditions faced in Labasa.
Colonel Ilai Moceica said low lying areas seem to be affected the most and he has given a stern warning for people to start moving to higher grounds now just before it gets dark.
Moceica said in relation to activating evacuation centers, this is a matter that will be determined later.
