Commissioner Northern, Misaele Naivalu is now in custody at the Labasa Police Station.
Naivalu was arrested and taken into custody by the officers of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption yesterday afternoon.
Chief Investigator, Inspector Isireli Tagicaki told Village News this morning that he is currently being questioned in relation to Corruption, alleged abuse of office and alleged abuse of funds.
Naivalu is expected to appear in the Labasa Magistrates court today.
He was sent on leave pending investigations in relation to alleged abuse of funds that were allocated to help those who were affected by the flood in the Northern Division early this year.
