Two senior officers from the Commissioner Northern’s office this morning appeared in the Labasa Magistrates Court charged with 41 counts of offences relating to fraud, abuse of office and abuse of government funds.
The Commissioner Northern, Misaele Naivalu and a senior officer in the office, Vishwa Deo pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Magistrate Tuilevuka granted the two bail on strict conditions.
The two will have to surrender all travel documents to police, report to the FICAC Labasa office every fortnight and not to interfere with the witnesses.
The two officers were arrested by FICAC officers yesterday afternoon.
