Commission to take oral submissions on FEA tariff rates
Commission Chairman, Doctor Mahendra Reddy said during this period people can give their views on whether FEA's current tariff structure is appropriate taking into account its operations costs, efficiency and what changes are required in FEA.
He said the public can also express their views on what the FEA has done in the past and what different strategies should it adopt to encourage energy conservation without affecting national output.
A team from the Commerce Commission will be at the Sigatoka Methodist Primary School from 10am to 1pm today and the team will then move to the Nadi Civic Center and will take oral submission from four to seven o'clock in the evening.
The team will be in Lautoka tomorrow followed by Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki on Friday.
People in the Central/ Eastern Division can give their oral submissions from next Monday while the team will be in the Northern Division from next Thursday.
The Commission has urged public to actively participate in the process and make their views known on the FEA tariff.
