The President Ratu Josefa Iloilo has endorsed a Commission of Inquiry be conducted into the operations and administration of the Magistrates courts.
Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Saiyad Khaiyum revealed that President Iloilo has appointed Judge Justice John Connor's to conduct the Inquiry.
Saiyad Khaiyum said the Inquiry follows the need to improve services within the Magistrates court and eradicate loop holes which may allow corrupt practices.
Justice Connors said wide consultations will be conducted however people with specific allegations will have to come forward and make submissions personally.
