The Chairman of the Commerce Commission has expressed disappointment over the lack of cooperation from hardware companies into its anti competitive behaviour investigations.

The Minister for Industry and Trade Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum had instructed the Commission to investigate anti competitive behaviour by hardware operators, and practices relating to pricing in the hardware supplies market.

The investigation includes the imports of goods into Fiji, goods manufactured in Fiji and the wholesale and retail sector for hardware suppliers.

As the deadline for the submissions into the Commerce Commission's investigations into hardware operators close today, Dr Mahendra Reddy said hardware operators have not been forthcoming to help with their investigations.
