The Commerce Commission said they are continuing the monitoring of inter-connectivity rates to ensure none of the telecommunication providers are pocketing margins they are getting from lower wholesale rates.

Chairman Dr Mahendra Reddy said since the determination that was made in January which was backdated to November last year to lower wholesale call rate, the Commission has been closely monitoring prices of retail calls to ensure they are  lowered accordingly.

Reddy said the Commission wants to ensure that consumers can save money and use it for other productive activities.
