The Commerce Commission of Fiji has written to the Rewa Dairy Corporative Limited, asking them to submit necessary documents to prove that their cost of business has indeed gone up.

Commission Chief Executive, Bobby Maharaj said they wrote back to Rewa Dairy about one and a half months ago after Rewa Dairy made submissions to the then Prices and Incomes Board, which has now merged with the Commerce Commission, seeking an increase in the price of its products.

Maharaj said their style of operation is different and they will need proper documents to substantiate claims made by Rewa Dairy in their submission.

Rewa Dairy Chairman, Josefa Serulagilagi said the prices of raw materials which they import from overseas has gone up.

He added that this has resulted in them making huge losses.
