International Rugby Commentator Nigel Starmer-Smith has predicted that the Digicel Fiji 7s team has a surprise in the Dubai 7s this weekend.
Smith said with six changes from the squad that went to Gold Coast, none of the players in this squad played in the Dubai 7s last year.
Fiji has never won the Dubai 7s since the IRB series started.
Coach Ben Ryan said they have a high chance to create upsets in the tournament.
Fiji’s first game in the Dubai 7s is against USA at 8.16pm this Friday, then Canada at 12.46am Saturday before facing England in their last pool match at 5.02am Saturday.
