FASANOC has called on the Fiji Rugby Union and Athletics Fiji to come up with a solution in relation to the issues surrounding Beniamino Maravu.

Maravu was included in the Athletics squad for the Pacific Mini Games before being named in the Fiji 7s team earlier this week.

FASANOC Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Mar said the two sporting bodies should speak to Maravu as they have been given a deadline to come up with a decision.

Athletics Fiji Head Coach for the Mini Games, Gabrielle Qoro said they are still awaiting Maravu’s confirmation as they have other options if Maravu decides to play for the 7s team.

Maravu earlier said that he was not aware of his selection as he has already set his plans to take up rugby in two years time.

Maravu said he will make his final decision soon.

The Pacific Mini Games will be held in September in Wallis and Futuna.
