It is an incredibly ludicrous report that should not be taken seriously.
Thos are the words of the National Federation Party General secretary Parmod Rae in relation to the submissions by the Fiji Human Rights Commission to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
Rae said the commission should come out with evidence to support its claims in the submissions.
And ousted Leader of Opposition Mick Beddoes said while some aspects of the FHRC submissions can be taken into account, he also said the report should not be given any credibility.
In its submissions, the Commission also recommends that political parties which promote racist speeches, policies and programs can be prohibited from taking part in elections and be prosecuted under existing legislations.
