Dane Coles now looks to have a reasonable prospect of playing tomorrow night in the Super Rugby final.
The Hurricanes captain has not quite reached the point where he is going flat out at training.
Coles has again been bracketed at hooker with Ricky Riccitelli.
Aside from the bracket at hooker, there are two more on the bench where prop Reggie Goodes and flanker Callum Gibbins are still not certain of being passed fit.
The Hurricanes will host the Lions at 7.35pm tomorrow in the Super Rugby Final.
