The 2008 Coca Cola Light Games will serve as the selection ground for athletes vying for a place in Team Fiji for next year's Mini South Pacific Games in Cook Islands.
Athletics Fiji Coach Albert Miller said most of the winners will be selected for the trials as they want secondary school students to make up majority of the Team Fiji squad.
Miller said they will also be keeping a close watch during the field events.
The Coca Cola Light Games will start on Friday at 8:15am with the Open Girls 1500m final.
