Telecom Fijiana player, Brittany Coates does not consider herself lucky to have been in New Zealand when Tropical Cyclone Winston hit Fiji.
Coates says she feels helpless by not being able to offer comfort to those dealing with the cyclone's impact.
She lives with her cousin in Davuilevu Housing and hasn't heard from friends or family in Fiji since Saturday.
Coates says she cannot wait to get back as soon as possible and help with the clean up in Fiji.
