The Flying Fijians performance in the 49-3 loss to the Springboks will come under the microscope today when the coaching staff reviews what went wrong.
With a rest day from training, assistant coach Shannon Fraser said that after the flight from Wellington to Auckland yesterday the players will be back at the training ground tomorrow.
Fraser added the players need to look forward to the game against Samoa knowing that both sides are still in the running for a quarterfinal spot.
Meanwhile, Samoan skipper Mahonri Schwalger believes his side can still survive the “pool of death” to make the quarterfinals.
Samoa blew a chance to upset Wales yesterday and had to be content with a bonus point in losing 17-10 in Hamilton.
It has left Pool D extremely tight.
It is a far tougher assignment.
They have a week to prepare to play Fiji and their final match is against world champions South Africa and it will have everything hanging on it.
