Coaches stress teamwork is essential
Those are the challenging words from Digicel Fiji 7s coach Alifereti Dere and assistant Etuate Waqa after the team announcement.
Waqa said that players tend to lose focus once they make the national side and is stressing that teamwork and consistency is critical.
The final 12 member team to travel to Wellington and Las Vegas will be announced after the Uprising Fiji 7s tournament to be held at the TFL Stadium. The 20 member squad will march into camp on Tuesday.
Players in the Digicel Fiji 7s squad are:
Dale Tonawai, Setefano Cakau, Jimilai Naikadawa, James Brown, Emosi Vucago, Osea Kolinisau and Livai Ikanikoda with the addition of new players that include Isaac Bainivalu, Iliesa Nadau, Isimeli Taqea, Jone Tiko, Timoci Sinate and Jo Nasili-sili.
This Uprising International 7s tournament will be held on the 20th and 21st of this month.
