Australian rugby players are too scared to run the ball and Super Rugby teams have fallen into the trap of continually taking safe options.

These are the comments of Australia 7s coach Michael O’Connor who said the Wallabies need to embrace a fluent style and take more risks if they want to return to the top of World rugby.

O’Connor was shocked at the conservative styles he saw in the opening round of the Super Rugby season last week.

He has urged Australian players to change their attacking attitude and have a crack.

In tomorrow’s Super rugby matches, Blues will play Chiefs at 6.35pm and Rebels will take on Waratahs at 8.40pm.
