National 7s coach Josateki Savou is in the dark on why 7s wizard Waisale Serevi has been dropped from the 14 man squad that has named yesterday to prepare for the Pacific Games.
Speaking to Village Sports, Savou said that he submitted Serevi's name to the Fiji Rugby Union Games Committee who made the final decision on the players that will be travelling to Samoa but was caught by surprise yesterday afternoon that the maestro’s name was not included in the training squad.
It is understood that the FRU has decided not to include Serevi because he has not meet with the FRU board regarding their decision which was supposed to be known last week.
The team that was named by Savou has only 4 surviving members of the side that went to London and Scotland in the likes of Mosese Volavola, Emosi Vucago, Setefano Cakau and Simione Saravanua.
The Pacific Games will kick-off on the second week of August.
