Free flowing rugby and giving players the chance to showcase the flamboyance and flair, will be the main key in defending the Gold Coast Sevens Title.

Despite a low turnout at the Digicel Fiji Sevens team fitness test earlier today, Coach Alifereti Dere said that he is happy with the attitude shown by the players.

Players that are likely to make the cut to the first leg of the IRB Sevens Series include Setefano Cakau, Levani Botia, Watisoni Votu, Ilai Tinai, Joji Ragamate and Niko Verekauta.

The Digicel Fiji Sevens team is expected to be named later this week.

The first leg of the IRB Sevens Series will be on the 13th and 14th of next month in Gold Coast of which Fiji is the defending champions.
