New Zealand Olympic soccer coach Stu Jacob is comfortable his side have done all they can to be ready for the opening Beijing Olympic Games qualifying tournament which starts on Saturday.

Jacob's side arrives in the country today and faces a difficult first up assignment against the Fiji Olympic side.

Scheduled for the hottest part of the day, the match pits a New Zealand side which only came together in less than two weeks, against a Fiji squad whose extensive build-up has included an unbeaten four-match tour of Queensland early this month.

While the New Zealand side goes into the series as favourites, Jacob's side is also wary of the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

The winner of the six-nation, nine-day tournament qualifies for August's Beijing Olympics as the Oceania Football Confederation's sole representative.
