Coach Calls for Improvements
Fiji won both their pool games last night beating Zimbabwe by 42-14 and then later managing to outcome the strong Wales defense by 15-0.
Speaking to Fijivillage sports, Digicel Fiji 7s coach Joe Savou said he is happy with the side's performance but there is still room for improvement as they advance into the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, New Zealand coach Gordon Titgens said that they had to finish on a high against USA in their last pool game to psyche the up for today's quarter-final.
In this afternoons quarterfinals New Zealand take on Wales at 4:41pm, then Fiji meets Kenya at 5:03pm, South Africa meets Australia in the third quarterfinal at 5:25pm and England who upset defending champions Samoa by 7-5 in pool play, will again meet in the last quarterfinal at 5:47pm.
The Hong Kong 7s kicks off with the Bowls quarterfinals between Zimbabwe and Chinese Taipei at 1:45pm.
